Chevy Chase Trust proudly presented a virtual experience: French Vistas and the Fascinating Figures Who Inspired Them. The evening was guided by Columbia University professor, Dr. Page Knox.

From Chenonceau, to the Petit Trianon, to Villandry, Chevy Chase Trust transported guests to France during a virtual tour of five French vistas, guided by Dr. Page Knox of Columbia University. Dr. Knox brought to life some of France’s most illustrious historical figures including Marie Antoinette, Catherine de Medici, and Napoleon.

Page Knox is an adjunct professor of Art History at Columbia University and a lecturer at the Metropolitan Museum of Art where she gives public gallery talks and lectures in special exhibitions and the permanent collection, teaches classes and the museum, and leads groups for Travel with the Met.

Chevy Chase Trust was pleased to host renowned author, journalist, and professor, Walter Isaacson for a conversation about his new book, The Code Breaker: Jennifer Doudna, Gene Editing, and the Future of the Human Race. In the book, Mr. Isaacson showcases Jennifer Doudna, Ph.D., whose work on the gene-editing technology called CRISPR won her and Emmanuelle Charpentier the 2020 Nobel Prize in Chemistry and, Mr. Isaacson believes, will change the future of medicine.
