Director of Portfolio Management
As Director of Portfolio Management, Michael is responsible for ensuring that the firm’s best investment thinking is reflected in client portfolios in a timely manner, consistent with clients’ investment objectives and financial goals.
In addition to his investment organization leadership, Michael is a Senior Portfolio Manager and has continued to be a trusted advisor to families and institutional clients for more than 35 years. He has been recognized multiple times by Washingtonian Magazine as one of the area’s top investment managers.
Prior to joining Chevy Chase Trust, Michael served as President of Asset Management Investment Advisers until 2005, when the firm was acquired by Chevy Chase Trust. Before that, he practiced corporate and real estate law. Michael graduated magna cum laude from Duke University and obtained his Juris Doctor from the George Washington University. He is a Past President of the Jewish Community Center of Greater Washington and has served as a Trustee of the United Jewish Endowment Fund of Greater Washington as well as a board member of the JCC Association of North America. He has also served as Chairman of the investment committees for both the United Jewish Endowment Fund and the JCC Association of North America Endowment Fund.
