John joined Chevy Chase Trust in 2011 and served as a Senior Advisor until his passing in July 2022.
He was incredibly dedicated to his clients and colleagues, both during his tenure at Chevy Chase Trust and throughout his 41 years of experience in public accounting.
John was a co-founder of Beers & Cutler, the highly regarded Washington-area accounting firm, where he specialized in estate and personal tax planning, advising high net worth individuals, families, private foundations, partnerships and trusts.
John attended the University of Connecticut and was a loyal and enthusiastic board member of the UConn Foundation for many years. He also served on the Board of Active Minds, an organization focusing on the mental health issues facing college-aged students. John was an avid spectator and supporter of all sports played by UConn and by his children.
He is survived by his wife, Kim Natovitz Cutler, and children, Molly, Steve, Lindsey and Sam.
