Head of Events
As Head of Events, Carolyn A. Patterson-Kemper is responsible for developing, planning, and executing a portfolio of internal and external onsite and digital events. She oversees all aspects of event planning and management, including logistics, contract negotiations, vendor management, and budgeting.
Prior to joining Chevy Chase Trust, Carolyn was an Events Communications Consultant for T. Rowe Price and owned an event management company in Atlanta, GA for 12 years. Carolyn is a native Washingtonian and an accomplished leader with over 25 years of experience in the global events industry.
Carolyn graduated summa cum laude from San Diego State University where she earned her Master’s degree in Meeting & Event Management and received her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Maryland College Park. She also holds Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) and Digital Event Strategist (DES) certifications.
Carolyn is an active volunteer of Professional Convention Management Association (PCMA) and Meetings Professional International (MPI) – Potomac Chapter where she serves on the Leadership Committee as a mentor and coach to help support the many upcoming talented industry professionals.
