Mr. Adler is responsible for overseeing Chevy Chase Trust’s Strategic Core Equity investment strategy, to which he brings a background of equity research, portfolio management, and investment banking experience.
Mr. Adler began his career in 1996, working with the Chief Equity Market Strategist at Legg Mason. He later joined the firm’s Healthcare Equity Research and Investment Banking Group, working as an Associate Analyst covering Healthcare Services and Healthcare Information Technology.
In 1999, Mr. Adler joined Friedman, Billings, Ramsey & Company’s Technology Equity Research and Investment Banking Group, where he was Vice President, Senior Equity Research Analyst, covering Enterprise and Internet Software.
In 2001, Mr. Adler joined Asset Management Investment Advisers, where he managed the firm’s equity investment strategy. In 2004, he assumed a leadership role in the company and executed its strategic sale to Chevy Chase Trust in 2005.
Mr. Adler is a graduate of Denison University, where he earned a degree in Economics. He serves on the boards of Green Acres School and The First Chukker Foundation, and is actively involved with the Corcoran Gallery of Art.
Prior to entering the investment industry, Mr. Cohen practiced reinsurance law in New York City and Washington, D.C., most recently with Chadbourne & Parke.
In 1997, Mr. Cohen joined investment firm Ayrshire Associates as a portfolio manager. In 2003, he joined Asset Management Investment Advisers, which was acquired by Chevy Chase Trust in 2005.
Mr. Cohen earned his undergraduate degree, with a focus on Economics, from the University of Michigan, and a JD/MBA degree from the University of Buffalo.
In 1993, following several years as an investment broker, Mr. Dobranetski became an equity and fixed income trader at Citizen’s Bank of Maryland, which was later acquired by Crestar Bank.
In 1997, Mr. Dobranetski moved to First Virginia Bank, where he worked as a fixed income trader, and in 2001 became a portfolio manager for institutions and high net worth individuals and families. In 2003, First Virginia merged with BB&T, where Mr. Dobranetski continued until he joined Chevy Chase Trust in 2005.
Mr. Dobranetski earned a Business Administration degree from Grove City College, and an Accounting degree from the University of Maryland. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
Mr. Edwards began his career with GIT Investment Funds, a mutual fund company, where he was responsible for security selection, asset allocation, research, and trading for both fixed income and equity mutual funds.
In October, 1996, Mr. Edwards joined First Virginia Bank, where he managed investment portfolios for institutional clients and high net worth individuals and families. He joined Chevy Chase Trust in January, 2003.
Mr. Edwards is a graduate of the University of Maryland, where he earned both an undergraduate degree in Microbiology and a Masters in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance. He has earned the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
Mr. Frank began his investment career in 1987 at Salomon Smith Barney, where he spent 11 years and rose to First Vice President/Investments.
In 1998, he joined Philip Tucker Investment Management where he served as a principal, managing many of the firm’s largest relationships. He joined Chevy Chase Trust in 2001, when it acquired the firm.
Mr. Frank graduated from Tufts University with a degree in Economics. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst and a member of the Washington Society of Investment Analysts. Mr. Frank also is a graduate of Leadership Greater Washington.
Mr. Gildenhorn served as President and Managing Director of Asset Management Investment Advisers until 2005, when the firm was acquired by Chevy Chase Trust. Prior to joining Asset Management in 1985, he practiced corporate and real estate law.
Mr. Gildenhorn is a magna cum laude graduate of Duke University, where he earned a degree in Economics, and he received his law degree from George Washington University. He is a trustee of the United Jewish Endowment Fund, Washington, D.C., and past president of the Jewish Community Center of Greater Washington.
Mr. Pernick was an institutional fixed income salesman and trader with R.W. Corby and Co. for 16 years before joining Asset Management Investment Advisers in 1999. He joined Chevy Chase Trust when it purchased Asset Management in 2005.
Mr. Pernick is a graduate of the University of Michigan, where he earned a Business Administration degree. He earned a Masters in Business Administration, with a concentration in Finance, from Wayne State University. Mr. Pernick serves as an emergency medical technician volunteer with the Bethesda-Chevy Chase Rescue Squad.
Mr. Tucker has been a consultant to Chevy Chase Trust since January, 2001, following its purchase of his firm. Prior to the sale, he owned and operated Philip Tucker Investment Management, which provided investment advice to individuals, pension plans, and profit and non-profit organizations.
His distinguished Government career included service as Chief Planning and Evaluation Officer, Board of Economic Analysis; Special Assistant to the Director, Office of Business Economics; and Management Consultant, Office of the Secretary, Department of Commerce.
Mr. Tucker’s education includes a B.S. from the University of Maryland; M.A. from George Washington University; PhD candidacy, American University; and post graduate studies at the Wharton School and the Brookings Institution.
Prior to joining Chevy Chase Trust, Ms. Wallace was a portfolio manager at U.S. Trust, where she worked for 15 years in their New York and Washington, D.C. offices.
Ms. Wallace earned her undergraduate degree from Holy Cross College and her MBA, with a concentration in Finance, from George Washington University.
